LG's Optimus 2X : Dual-Core now in Smartphones!

Dual-core technology used to be for laptops and PCs only, but now that’s about to change with LG’s newly-announced dual-core smartphone! This device is the Optimus 2X that is equipped with a trusty dual-core Tegra 2 processor with a speed of 1GHz by Nvidia. Even though this phone is equipped with a dual-core processor, it isn’t high on power consumption.

Also, with the dual-core processor, the LG Optimus is able to provide better faster web browsing and touch response. Audio and video performance is enhanced as well.

Besides the dual-core Tegra 2 processor, the LG Optimus 2X also boasts Android 2.2 OS which is upgradeable to Android 2.3 Gingerbread once it becomes available.

As for the physical attributes, the LG Optimus 2X has a 4-inch WVGA screen. It’s designed with two cameras: an 8MP rear camera and a 1.3MP front-facing camera. No doubt this will make video conferences so much more convenient. This handset also provides support for 1080p MPEG-4/H.264 playback and recording.

This LG Optimus 2X is something to look forward to. It’s going to be available in Korea next month and in Europe and Asia next.
